Who is getting married?
Danny Parrott 大牛
Danny, born in the Midlands, matured in Oxford, met Lisha in July 2011. 2 short weeks after landing in his new home, Beijing. At that time his Chinese name was big cow 大牛. Danny says: ``me and Li first met in a real estate agent, I was there looking for a house and not getting far as nobody understood my Mandarin, Lisha was there paying her rent and pitied me, so decided to help me translate! We got on well, decided to be housemates and the rest follows... We have been co-operating ever since.``
Lisha Tang 汤丽莎
Lisha was born in the China's 'Midlands', not far from the shores of the Yellow River. She went 500miles north to Beijing for university where she met Danny. Since meeting, together Danny&Li have traversed the length and breadth of China together, founded a company that they run and visited 30 or so countries, highlights being Cuba and lowlights being North Korea!

St Barnabas Church, a tolerant and modern church that we love
Church service at 1300: St. Barnabas Church, Jericho.
We both love this church. It is kind, modern, tolerant, and is the most striking building in Oxford’s skyline. It melanges tradition plus modernity. It sits bestrides our two favourite bits of Oxford, hip/fun Jericho and the wonderful green space of Port Meadow + adjacent dramatic train track/canal zone. We feel that the design embraces syncretism, the founders wanted to build something as a testament to the deep roots of Christianity in the East and so bucked the trend of the traditional English styles, so the design is filled with Orthodox iconography, while the general architectural design is a nod to Catholic Torcello in Venice. The service is a High Church one, based on Oxford movement ideals, so it feels something Catholicism – the church Danny was raised in (and incidentally the church loved by Danny’s favourite author Graham Greene, who proposed to his wife on the adjacent canal towpath!) We love this church, the vibe is non-dogmatic, welcoming and humble, so according to our beliefs it feels close to the Christian message of non-judgemental-ism, spiritualism, & universal love. p.s Please note, there is not a lot of parking!
Weston Manor House, an historic 15/16th Century hotel.
The Party: 1500 until next day 11am: Weston Manor Hotel.
The reception takes place in this stunning manor house with 32 rooms and a pool, we hope it can be a really great party. The atmosphere and vibe harks back to the Tudor period when Anne Boleyn and her lover are alleged to have liaised here.
